Nope, I’m not running a dating service, I’m hoppin’ over to the BlogFrog! {{giggle}}
Hey Lovely Ladies! As you may know, I’ve been really trying to promote community here on Tip Junkie and teach other bloggers how to create their own. If you’re new to Tip Junkie you can get a taste of what we’ve been talking about with these posts:
There is tons of material here on Tip Junkie, but my focus today is how to start your own community!
A couple months ago I met Rustin & Holly from the BlogFrog and I’ve been playing around with it and chatting with them ever since. They have a crazy good vision and just launched their redesign yesterday! {{squeal in delight}} Believe me, this is something you are going to want to be apart of, whether you have a blog or not.
Not only have they made it even prettier {{which lets face it – is a must for us creative gals}}, they have made it easier to use, and added some really cool new features.
About The BlogFrog:
What the heck is a BlogFrog? Basically it’s a forum based community that is easy to use and is connected with your blog and your twitter account. No, you do not have to have a blog or twitter id to participate. I promise you are still completely fabulous if you don’t have one. {{wink}}
It’s just an easy way to have conversations and connect with other like-minded women. I’ll warn you, it’s just as addicting as Facebook. You can be apart of as many communities as you want and it’s all organized in a pretty way on your “ME” page. For all the logistics of how it works, check out these links:
- How to participate in a BlogFrog Community (video)
- About their new features (video)
What’s even cooler is that they have signed up with several advertising agencies and in the new few months you will be PAID for your own community. {{Shut up!}} Yep, it’s true. BlogFrog believes that you should monetize your community and are in the works to making that happen.
Now you’re probably thinking, “Laurie, I don’t have your blog stats. There’s no way I could make any money with my own community.” Well, that’s simply not true. It’s not about stats, number of readers, or who you know. It’s about connecting with other women. You do that online and offline every day! In fact, you’re great at it.
If you’re looking for an easy way to chat with other creative women, or promote your blog, or make some extra grocery money, or all of the above; the BlogFrog is the answer.
{{Disclosure – I was not paid for this post. I honestly believe this is a great company with each of our best interests at heart.}}
Therefore, I am moving the old TJ Community over to the BlogFrog and the SITSgirls, Today’s Creative Blog, and Skip To My Lou have created communities as well!
To celebrate our new BlogFrog communities, we are hosting the Spring Fling and giving away over $6,000 in free prizes on April 13th (four every hour!). To get you in the mood for free stuff and get you all set up for extra entries ahead of time, you can go ahead and:

I cannot tell you how excited I am to be apart of a company that truly wants to unite women and help them foster fun relationships online. That is exactly my goal as well.
Speaking of fabulous women, I’ve got to give a thank you shout out to MckMama for not only announcing my new community but also leaving me the sweetest message on it. Thanks girl! I was having a crappy morning and your link love was completely unexpected and so gracious. {{hugs!}} Be sure to check out MckMama’s BlogFrog community as well – you can’t be apart of too many great things.
Every person who joins the TJ Community in the month of April is entered to win a $100 Target gift card!
Hi Laurie,
Wow – that was a wonderful summary of BlogFrog! Thanks so much for sharing your excitement with your readers. You are right, our goal is to create a platform that makes it easy for women to connect, share, learn, teach, and support each other. And if we can help them make a little money at the same time, even better! We are excited to help the Chic Chick Media ladies launch your Spring Fling next week – so much excitement going on this month! Thanks for being so awesome, Laurie!
oh this sounds just perfect! Thanks for the link over to there!
I have been a part of the blog frog community for a few weeks now and really seems well organized. What a great idea! I hope to be adding a community to my blog soon. Thanks for passing the word along because I, too, think it can be an amazing support tool for women.
I think that’s awesome! I love the idea of women joining together and exchanging ideas and experiences. Holly is so sweet and so supportive! Your community will be such a great resource!
