1. Christmas Advent Shoe Organizer~ This super advent calendar holds lots of treats and is quite easy to make. You only need a handful of supplies including a shoe organizer, the free countdown downloads provided, clothespins, spray paint, and card stock. It looks fabulous, don’t you think?
2. DIY Magnetic Advent Calendar ~ This tutorial comes with a free printable for the numbers and all that’s left to do is gather your supplies. Modge Podge lovers will love making this magnetic advent calendar.
3. Advent Calendar ~ This lovely advent calendar uses muslin spice bags that can be filled with a treat or craft to count down to Christmas. I love that they can be re-used year after year.
4. 12 days of Christmas Advent Calendar ~ Pottery Barn inspired, this advent calendar is constructed of a pin board covered by linen. The actual pin board can be used year round so it plays double duty. And, it only cost $6 to make!

I saw the same picture on Etsy and had to make them for my sister. I used my friend Sarah’s expertise a LOT because I am a beginner sewer, but it was honestly very easy. Just time consuming, so start early!
