Last week I shared with you my Top Tips for Throwing a Party on a Budget in preparation for my upcoming Girls Night In Party featuring DOLE Banana Dippers.  I can’t tell you how much fun I had preparing for the party!  I loved coming up with creative ways to decorate, entertain, and feed my guest on a tight budget.  I also loved proving that it can be done and that my site has many of the resources, like free printables, organizational tools and party ideas.  {{squealing}}  The party was absolutely worth all the preparation {{it was so much fun!!}} and I’m so excited to show it off!  Here’s how what I did:
Decorations
I had a blast decorating for this party! Â You can read about all of inexpensive decorating touches I used in my Tips for Throwing a Party on a Budget post. Â I’ve found that one of the best way to decorate on a budget is to use the food to decorate! Â You can do amazing things with the food that you serve at your party and let the food play double duty! Â For example:
- For the lemon bar cake, I embellished with DOLE Banana Dippers and I embellished the plate with yogurt covered raisins. {{so cute}}
- For the cupcakes, I added the Tip Junkie yellow chevron cupcake wrappers printables {{color}} and embellished with DOLE Banana Dippers  {{fabulous}}.
These little touches add a ton of interest to the table and decorations as well as making the food look more appealing! Â I highly recommend using your food table as the focal point of your decorations!
Party Games
Every Girls Night In needs party games, and this party was no exception. Â We started with “table topics” get to know you questions which really helped us to relax, open up and create the perfect “girls night” atmosphere. Â Plus, it got us all ready to get up and play some physical games! Â {{wink}} Â Remember, kids aren’t the only ones that like to play games that require moving around. Â {{snicker}}
Other games we played:
- How’s it Hanging
- Minute to Win It Game {{using a banana, orange, hula hoop and yarn}}
I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time.
Refreshments
Of course, after some serious competition, we were all ready for some snacking {{a necessity at every Girls Night In Party}} so we headed over to the dessert table for something chill.  I personally like to embellish cupcakes and cakes with the new DOLE Banana Dippers.  Since they are only 120 calories per serving they are great to embellish fruit and chocolate with as well!  {{you can find them in the frozen fruit aisle of the grocery store, and they come with six individual servings per box}}
Remember, throwing a party doesn’t need to cost a ton of money! Â Plan some fun games, cute decorations, and yummy treats. Â If you’ve invited fun friends, your party is sure to be a success! Â {{wink}}
