I am so happy I have a little girl. That is not to say that I would have been upset with a little boy, but I have been able to embrace my girly side again. Seeing everything from the eyes of my child has been so much fun. I love planning all the important celebrations of her life. Birthdays are the best time for magic, love, and being a Fairy Princess for a day.
I saw this idea during my research and it took my breath away. It looks like something right out of a fairy tale:
This mother was ingenious! She managed to turn each chair into a throne fit for a Fairy Princess. The lime green tutu adorned with purple daisies, halos, and wings on each chair was perfect. The table almost looks as if a fairy is sitting in each chair waiting for the magic to begin. Not to mention how beautiful the pictures will be, each child will be dressed in matching fairy outfits.
I love the lime green and purple color theme. It lends itself to being considered a Tinkerbell party, but none of the cookie cutter plain character decorations. The purple and green party plates are great for the bulk items. In addition, I would throw in the themed napkins and dinner plates for added flair.
The icing on the cake (literally)! Choosing the perfect cake:
I love the keepsake figurines on each cake. I dont know which one I would choose, because I love them both. Maybe I will get both!
Each child will get to take home the magic with this green and purple fairy pen. Of course fun Tinkerbell stickers, play wands and candy complete the gift bags.
To complete the magic of the event, I came up with some great games for all ages. Tinkerbell is best known for her role in Peter Pan as the magic fairy. She uses pixie dust to create her magic. I would create my own pixie dust for each child. Colored sugar in tiny little plastic bottles tied with a ribbon.
The first game is called the Magic of Pixie Dust. Each child sits in a circle with their pixie dust at the ready. The head fairy chooses her first fairy to start the magic. The chosen would create the next fairy by sprinkling them with pixie dust and cast a magic spell on them. For example, this dust will make you twirl in a circle 10 times. Everyone will keep count as the chosen twirls and twirls. Next the chosen is able to choose the next one and so on.
The second game of magic, is a version of Simon Says. The head fairy, Me, will wave her magic wand and say Abra Cadabra, all fairies twirl in a circle! If I dont say Abra Cadabra, then no one should move. The winner at the end will get a TInkerbell doll.
This magical party will create moments that last a lifetime.
