I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}

My word is HOPE ..hope for the future, hope for my children, hope for friends and family …for all those important to me and lives I hope to touch!
My word is “Simplify”…It includes my work life and life at home. It is my goal because it will help me in personal ways and also to be able to be more free to give more of myself to others.
My word is Cherish
My word is JOY! I lost my best friend last February to complications from pneumonia. She was 31. She was a ROCK. She left a husband and a 10 year old daughter on this earth, and 20,000 (yes 20,000) other that followed her journey on carepages. I miss my friend. A hole has been left in my soul. My goal, my New Years Resolution was to find JOY again, in the small. I have a loving husband, and 3 beautiful kids who loved my friend as much as I did. This past week during my bible study I was led by the spirit to Acts. Right there it says in Chapter 2, quoted from Psalms, that ::: 28 You will teach me how to live a holy life. Being with you will fill me with joy.’ YES! I want to be filled with JOY! So Ali Edwards and now your BLOG (WHICH I LOVE) are both doing things with this WORD of the year and I am excited. JOY!
My word for 2011 is going to be PERSISTENCE. There have been a lot of trials/challenges presented to us already and I know that I will get through it is I PERSIST!
