I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}
Word of the Year
IÂ’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2011? To encourage {or bribe} everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away a custom necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs, a $52 value.
If you are on twitter, you can even earn an extra entry for sharing this tweet with your followers. (This is completely optional.) Example Tweet: Tweet

I think I would have to pick CHERISH since that’s what I really need to focus on doing. I’d like to focus on cherishing all of the great and simple and extraordinary and routine events that occur in my life and the people that make it all worth while!
My word is LOVE. I’m counting on some good things in that department coming my way! 🙂
My word is CALM, I am a pretty uptight mother, which leads to yelling pretty fast. So my goal is to try and stay calm.

My word for the year is going to be accomplished.
My word for 2011 is GRACE. Would love a reminder that i could wear each day of just how amazing Gods grace is for each of us. Thank you! 🙂
