I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”

Courage—I need the courage to take action in a few areas this year.
I thought of a lot of words for this year, but i think i will go with “laugh”. Intend to be too serious.
I think in order to start anywhere with anything first you need to “Understand” what it is you need, want or desire. Also there has been alot of strife because no one understood what the other was trying to say or do. So, for me “Understand” will be my 2011 word of the year 😀
