I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}

IÂ’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2011? To encourage {or bribe} everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away a custom necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs, a $52 value.

My 2011 word is embrace. Embrace what I cannot change, embrace the love around me, embrace the change that is bound to happen over the coming year.
Hey Laurie,
Love your blog and have re-posted your stuff on Facebook so many times … my friends love your blog too!
After a rough couple years where I have been really knocked off my horse … it’s time to get back on, reanimate and breath some life back into my life.
My word for 2011 is: Vivify
Ooh – those are all great words. Blessed is my favorite – it’s nice to be reminded over and over again. {{wink}}
Grace is a wonderful word. My niece just gave birth to a new baby girl named Grace.
