I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}

My word is “simplify”. I really want to enjoy all the simple pleasures of life…completing a jigsaw puzzle, coffee dates with my husband, the sunshine, etc…instead of focusing all my energy on the stresses of work and school. I want to enjoy the everyday!
My word of the year is very easy to pick. Its FOREVER. I have that word in a frame on my wall. I know that whenever i see that word that My Husband (military) and Myself are strong for eachother. through the ups and downs. When I get sick or he is stressed. We will always be there for eachother and we have forever to try to get things right =O)
I just love that word.
Gratitude. I’m so happy when I find a $5 bill forgotten in a jacket pocket, or when a stranger holds a door open for me – who isn’t? But what I’ve learned is that I have to be grateful for life’s harsher lessons; the loss of family members, illness, struggles, for it is overcoming these hardships that I truly appreciate life.
Release (I’m having a new baby & moving in the first 3 months – it’s going to be crazy but I can only do so much)
Lose – I have lost over 200 pounds and I am trying to lose another 40 pounds by my class reunion. OR 9/1/10 – That is the day that I had my long waited breast reduction surgery. Either would be very meaningful to me ! Thanks for the chance for the giveaway !! 🙂
