I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}
Word of the Year
IÂ’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2011? To encourage {or bribe} everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away a custom necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs, a $52 value.

Faith – this word has really played a role in my life as of late. It’s Faith all the way.
hope 🙂
Gratitude– even though I can see someone has already said the same thing. I think that when we feel gratitude, our attitude changes and we are better people. I think that if mankind experienced more gratitude, our society would be much different than it is.
My word for this year is achieve.
I’ve spent a lot of time hoping, dreaming, and wishing…this year I’ll be achieving. I’m worth it!!
The past two years have been rough. I would say my word would be glissade. As a former professional ballet dancer (almost a lifetime ago), I hope that I will GLIDE through the year smoothly and without a hitch.
