I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}
Word of the Year
IÂ’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2011? To encourage {or bribe} everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away a custom necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs, a $52 value.
If you are on twitter, you can even earn an extra entry for sharing this tweet with your followers. (This is completely optional.) Example Tweet: Tweet

This inspired me so much. My word is “Discover” and I just posted about it.
Goodwill. I have had “Peace on Earth, toward men Goodwill” on my heart this season. I would like to be a giver of goodwill in all the corners of my life. So I will leave goodwill to any who read this…be blessed.
Christ! I’m looking forward to growing closer to God and watching the impact that has on EVERYTHING in my life!!! :))))))))))
My One Little Word is “finish.” 😀 I’m really looking forward to finishing all kinds of stuff this year! 😉 Thank you SO much for the chance to win!
After the last couple of years, my word for 2011 is HOPE! I hope for all of us to be healthy, I hope for a viable pregnancy to complete our family, I hope for a stress-free relationship with my family, I hope for my part-time business to pay for some of the extra expenses we’ve incurred…etc.
Thanks for helping me sum it up into ONE WORD!!
