TipJunkie.com is proud to present a ‘Great Tip Award’ to Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa for ‘Word of the Year’. Can you identify a single word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2008?
one little word. Michelle encouraged us to take the challenge by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow. I want to introduce you to the idea that a single word can be a catalyst for enriching your life as well as your scrapbook layouts.
Last year I began a tradition of choosing one word for myself each January – a word that I can focus on, mediate on, and reflect upon as I go about my daily life. Last year my word was something I wanted to bring into my life in a more tangible way. My word was play.”
I first saw this wonderful idea on Kristi’s post when she chose Stretch as her word for 2007. I felt like this was such a positive and simple way to create what we want for ourselves this year.
This concept has been taken a step further when Kristi ordered a necklace made by Lisa, who can make you a beautiful necklace with your word of the year. So, put this on your Christmas list for your hubby. Also keep in mind that this would make such an inspirational and personal Christmas gift for a friend or family member.
2008 will be here before you know it! Here at TipJunkie, we’d like to encourage you to pick your word for 2008. What could your word be?

I LOVE the idea of a word helping define your new year. I too, choose a word for every new year and mine is: MOTIVATE. I have alot to create and I am motivated to get all of it started and on it’s way into the world.
Fantastic
Ruined.
…in a good way. 🙂
I heard the concept in a song…but it was talking about being “ruined” by Christ. just flat-faced and humbled before Him and it was a beautiful thought. 🙂
can’t take any of the credit for the idea, i am just the messenger on this one!
