Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love just about everything about it. Â I love the crisp fall air. Â I love coming up with creative costumes ideas with my family, I love the excitement in the air, and I love the candy.
DIY Blue Clues Family Halloween Costumes in 2000
One of our Halloween family traditions is to make our own costumes or re-purpose an old one, rather than purchasing them. Â I am a DIY Halloween costume queen. Â If it’s in my home, I can re-purpose it, and make it into a costume. Â Trust me.
Suit for a Gangster, Men in Black, or Frankenstein Costume
For instance, by using a simple black suit this Halloween Davis could go as a Gangster, Men in Black operative, or even Frankenstein {think face paint}! The options are endless and thanks to Tide I won’t be worried about stains ruining his nice Sunday suit.
Now, just because I re-purposed a few items for Halloween doesn’t mean I won’t want them back.  And, since I love ghoulish or scary face paint, I have to be careful not to shoot myself in the foot {figuratively, of course}.  I realize that boys will be boys and that chances are that my boys will be getting face paint and/or fake blood on their costume {which I might want to use again} next Halloween, or even during the year!
Enter Tide.
Halloween Formula for Tide
Halloween + Kids + face paint = Stains
Tide knows all about fake blood and ghoulish/scary makeup, and Tide is up for the challenge. They want to help us tackle our scary stains, so why not let them?
We want our costumes to last another year, right?
Disclosure: Â Tide loves tackling our scary stains. Â Let’s give them a big thank you for being so kind to our costumes and for sponsoring this post!
Laurie your young family is adorable!! You amaze me with your creativity!!
I love to re-purpose Halloween costumes too! Buying new costumes for three children every year gets pricey, plus they are usually commercialized. I’m a Tide user also!
