Vanilla sugar is one of my favorite things. The only problem is that it can be hard to find unless you shop gourmet grocery stores, and even then it is typically too expensive to justify the purchase. Luckily, there is an easy solution: make your own. Its simple, quick, and it eliminates unnecessary waste by giving discarded vanilla bean pods a delicious new lease on life.
