Guess what!?! HGTV has asked me to host a LIVE chat and viewing party on Facebook during the House Hunters International TV show on Thursday, February 16th. {{squealing with delight}} So, mark your calendars and RSVP to join me for an hour of house-hunting fun!
House Hunters is an old favorite of mine. Each episode of House Hunters focuses on a different individual or family as they search for and decide on a home that is right for them. The show focuses on “the emotional experience of finding and purchasing a new home“. Three homes are showcased and I love trying to guess which house the home buyers will pick. It’s always so much fun at the end of the show to see how the buyers make their new house a home, too.
As you may know, I recently moved to Ohio {from Texas} and I know all too well the stress associated with finding a new home. It can be so emotionally taxing trying to find the perfect house to raise the family. There are so many factors that come into play….neighborhood, home layout, yard, schools, proximity to necessities, etc.
I looked at beautiful homes, ugly homes, dirty homes, immaculate homes, and homes with crazy/weird floor plans. I viewed homes with amazing yards, and yards that left a lot to be desired. I toured homes that would have been perfect if only they had a, b and c. In the end I made the decision to move into the home that was best suited to my family, and let me tell you, the choice was emotional.
Just like an episode of House Hunters. {smile}
I wonder how it would be different to go house hunting in the place that we had chosen out of all other places in the world to live rather than the place our jobs take us?
If you could live anywhere in the world,
where would it be?
Oh how I dream of owning a home in Lake Como, Italy. If I could chose just one place to live, this is where I’d chose. Located just north of Milan, there’s a reason is the most popular lake for vacationing in Italy. It’s GORGEOUS. Not only is the lake deep and beautiful, the area has artistic and cultural gems that I’d love to explore on a regular basis. Plus, I wouldn’t mind owning a lake front villa or palace. {snicker} I’d even learn Italian. {smiling}
Be sure to tell me where you’d live if you could live anywhere in the world. Who knows? Maybe you’ll introduce me to a new place that I’ll have to research. {wink}

Love House Hunters!!!! If I could live anywhere I would stay right here on the East Coast…I would move closer to the ocean, say…right on the beach. But I would love to visit all the places on my wish list, Itlay, France, Greece….
If I could live anywhere in the world…hmm that’s hard because I have never been out of the U.S.
I would like to visit Italy, France, and Spain. I think to live maybe…New Zealand or just a beach house off the coast of NC would beperfect too.
If I could live anywhere it wouldn’t be a certain city or state. It would be a piece of property with no close neighbors with a few horses. Missing the country life!
I would live in Asheville, NC! Beautiful mountains and the ocean not too far away!
The Amalfi coast looks so lovely…but then, so does Tuscany…and then there’s your fav, Lake Como…hmmmm – I’m half Italian,and would love to really learn the language and immerse my family in the culture – most anyplace in Italy sounds like heaven to me <3
