Today were having some fun with a not-so-fun topic: laundry and stains. Yep we’re dishing on tips and strategies on how to get laundry done, get the kids involved, and even laughing about the crazy things we’ve found in the dryer! {can you say diaper – grodie!}
When Tide contacted me and asked me to host a Tide Stain Release Challenge the first thing I thought of was, “how am I going to decorate for it?” {bwaahaa} Yes, I’m a total crafter at heart. Wondering how my little luncheon turned out, well it was a blast!
I wish I could have invited all of you over for lunch. Not only did I get to decorate in orange Gerber daisy’s but found the most darling ruffled place mats! Ahhh… they bring me much joy. My friends came over and we vented about things boys keep in their pockets {chap-stick!} and shared tips and tricks on getting the load done.
Thanks to all the amazing information Tide sent over, I learned a lot as well about the Tide Stain Release In-Wash Booster!
- It removes stains better than the leading powered in-wash booster.
- It comes in these easy to use duo packs – check out my Laundry Basketball Video. {I’m such a dork!}
- It contains technology designed to help stop stains from reattaching to other items of clothing during the wash cycle.

What Works For Us on Laundry Day:
A fun time was had by all. Check out my silly video recap of the Stain Release Challenge Luncheon. Yes, as you can see we had way too much fun and got really silly near the end. {giggle} We “got out” Chocolate Milk, Chapstick, and BBQ Sauce out of their shirts and we had the best time dishing while the laundry was being washed.
- Jen won with the worst thing you’ve dried – a poopy diaper! {seriously yuck}
- My sister, Lisa, was runner up as she has washed her man’s tube of chap-stick a few times which he keeps in his pocket.
- Chanda does all of her laundry on Mondays and passes the time folding while watching a fun movie. This way it’s more of a nice retreat.
- Julie shared her solution on getting her laundry done with a large family ~ her kids sort their own laundry as well as put their own laundry away.
- My tip ~ As I pull out the clothes out of the dryer, I take out all the shirts and nice pants and hang them up {or lay them on my dryer when I’m in a hurry} so they won’t wrinkle. Then I dump the rest of the laundry on my bed until all the loads are done. I do what Chanda does and watch a movie I’ve been looking forward to watching while I fold them all at once.
When the stained clothes were done drying, we all piled in the laundry room to see the results. {drum roll} YAY! They were cleaner than they’ve ever been before and my friends were so happy with their results! I’ve been using the in-wash boosters for my boys laundry as well and you can see the results for yourself in my short Laundry Part II video. Yes, of course it’s a bit silly, but you get the idea. {wink}
