So sorry Ladies! There’s a mandatory evacuation in my In-laws county and they’re on their way to stay with me over the weekend.
I threw a baby shower last night and I have a lot of cleaning and grocery shopping to do. {{eek!}}
I’ll have Teach Me Thursday, giveaway announcements, and finish the birthday bash submissions Friday. In the meantime, upload a Tip Junkie button and leave a comment to join our Birthday Bash Giveaway, AND vote in our Photoshop Contest.
Thank you so much for your understanding.
xoxo
Laurie
Glad your in-laws got out. My parents are from Houston and they left Thursday night about 8:00 p.m. and didn’t arrive here (where we live in Oklahoma) until approx. 6:00 a.m. today (Friday)…what a nightmare – they are exhausted. A normal 6 hour drive took 10 and they are 68 and 70 years old, they will be sleeping a lot today. At least they are here and safe.
I completely understand, we’re bracing for Ike, ourselves! I’m north of Houston a couple hours, but schools are shut down for Friday and we’re expecting to lose power. My town lost power for 2 weeks after Hurricane Rita and this is expected to be a worse storm! I’m glad your in-laws got out.
I guess I didn’t realize you were a Texas Gal. I am in Houston too but we aren’t in an evacuation zone. I hope your family’s house stays safe.
Good luck!!
