- Make It Yours. Save it to your Google Drive by selecting ‘File’ then ‘Make a Copy’. This allows you to customize it fully.
2. Customize Your Schedule
Second, let’s fill in the template together, step by step.
Let’s go column by column in the Google Sheet and fill in what you’ll need to create your customized schedule. Feel free to do as much or as little as you like! (knuckle bumps)
- Room: List all areas your iRobot will clean, using the ‘My Home’ feature on the iRobot app to ensure completeness.
- Exclude: Using the answers from your checklist, fill out this section so ChatGPT has the information it needs to create your schedule efficiently. (optional)
- Mop: Indicate which rooms require mopping. Exclude carpeted areas automatically recognized by your iRobot.
- House: Specify the location (e.g., main floor or upstairs). This is optional.
- Frequency: Decide how often each area needs cleaningâhigh-traffic areas might need more attention. Type in the number of times a week you’d like these areas added to the schedule.
- Group: Organize rooms into groups based on common factors like size, location, or cleaning frequency to streamline your schedule.

3. Scheduling Your Tasks
Third, let’s put your plan into action.
You can jump to the last step on this post if you want to use ChatGPT to fill in the days and times for you. If ChatGPT is not your thing and you prefer to do it manually, simply continue to use the template in Google Sheets to fill out the Sunday through Saturday columns and manually decide what schedule works best for you.

- Sunday – Saturday: Assign days and times you want your iRobot to clean each room. Choose the best times for each room based on your daily activities, ensuring your robot cleans at convenient times without disruption.
