Hosting a Kids Game Day Party can be so much fun. There are so many cute ideas out there, and you can make the party as simple or as elaborate as you’d like. Here are are 5 Tips for Hosting a Kids Game Day Party that {they} won’t soon forget.
5 Tips for Hosting a Kids Game Day Party
1. Pick your theme. This part is really easy for a Game Day Sports Party. If I’m not mistaken, you’ll choose the sports theme for the sport that is in season (or that your child is playing) at that time of the year! {wink}. Once you’ve decided on your theme, start looking around on the internet for amazing ideas that will set your Game Day party apart. You can tweak ideas to work for your party! 2. Organize the party. This is the most important part {well, besides actually having the party}. I make lists like crazy. Select the date, time and place, write out a guest list, figure out what items you’ll need. Keep the list handy because if you are like me, you’ll think of little details throughout the days leading up to the party that you won’t want to forget. There are so many ideas that are DIY so you can plan a really great party with a small budget!
3. Plan the Menu. I’ve found that preparing a variety of simple finger foods keep kids happy. They like to have a lot to chose from. So, it’s important to chose menu items that are easy to prepare and serve. {Tyson Any’tizers anyone?} They also like to go back to the food table again and again so make sure you have plenty of plates and utensils on hand {oh, and a trash bag}! Perhaps parents would prefer that the kids don’t have a ton of sweets, but what’s a kid party without lots of sugar? I’m just sayin’. {snicker} So, fill them up with finger foods and then turn them lose on the sweets. {laughing}
4. Plan the Activities during the party. Plan at least a few activities or games. I’ve found that having stations that kids can rotate through works best. Make sure you have enough adults around to help with each game or activity!
5. Get Help and Enjoy! Don’t try to do it all yourself. Enlist the help of friends so that you can all enjoy the party as much as the kids. And, who knows? You might even learn a little bit more about the Game!

My kids all appreciate thirty minutes of unplanned activities at the end of the party to play with their friends. Especially when that time is spent in the backyard.
Label everything. If you have older kids tags will work. If you have younger kids use words and pics to label.
