What is Oprah’s Master Class on OWN?
It’s a biography series that shares hard-won insight from extraordinary achievers whose paths have inspired Oprahand countless others. There are always 3-5 lessons that viewers can take away from their shared experiences and it is truly inspiring and empowering. We are hoping to do the same here on Tip Junkie by featuring successful bloggers.
We will be regularly featuring inspiring bloggers who have found success and fulfillment through their online endeavors. Join us and find yourself empowered through their words of wisdom.
Amy ~ Mod Podge Rocks
Please give a warm Tip Junkie welcome to Amy of Mod Podge Rocks!
1. Introduce yourself to Tip Junkies.
I am a 34-year-old transplant from Seattle living in Atlanta, Georgia. I was born from creative genes, so I’m carrying on the tradition. In addition to Mod Podge, I love the color blue, dogs, reading, cold weather, funny movies, road rallies, yogurt, garden gnomes, sock monkeys, running, tattoos, being outdoors, buttons, snuggling and apparently blogging. Who knew I would love it this much?
2. What aspect of Social Media is the most effective for you?
Facebook! My group is over 9,000, and it’s very interactive. I use it as a place to ask my readers about themselves (weekly questions: what are you doing this weekend?), to answer questions and to share posts that I can fit onto my blog. Everyone feels like they are a part of the community.
3. What have you learned that was a “game changer” for you?
Use Stumble Upon! It’s been amazing for my blog. I’m also working on SEO {search engine optimization} right now, and so far, so good.
4. What’s the one thing you make sure you do everyday?
Take the time to answer e-mails from readers – I honestly feel that keeping my connections with them is one of the most important things I can do for my blog!
5. Last words of wisdom?
Work hard at blogging, but never sacrifice your family or your life for it. Include them in the process as much as you can so that when you succeed, they do too.
