If you LOVE dessert, TODAY is your day! We are celebrating NATIONAL DESSERT DAY, and we want you to join us! Do you like celebrating year round? If you don’t like to wait for major national holidays to roll around, then start celebrating the lesser known holidays {like National Dessert Day!} Did you know that just about every day of the year has been designated as a “holiday”? Celebrating the wacky and fun day can bring tons of enjoyment. That’s why we are planning on making every day a holiday. Here are a few Fun Ways to Celebrate National Dessert Day!
What is National Dessert Day? Well, National Dessert Day is the day to indulge in that sweetness you would normally eat after a meal. This includes donuts, cakes, cookies, jello, pastries, ice cream, pies, pudding, trifles, candy, fruit and more! I’m not sure if there is a goal for the day in mind besides promoting the men and women who create and prepare yummy desserts for us to enjoy and indulge in! National Dessert Day falls October 14th annually. Since we feel very strongly about desserts, it’s one of our favorite October Holidays, and we can’t think of a better day to show our appreciation for the baker’s in our lives!

National Dessert Day
1. There’s no better day than National Dessert Day {today} to head out to your favorite bakery, restaurant or patisserie and order something sweet you’ve never tried before. If you are going to indulge, might as well go BIG and try a few things. Better yet, take a few friends and share treats amongst yourself!
2. Give a baker friend a gift in a jar! We love, love, love DIY gifts! We adore gifts in a jar because they can be customize to the recipient and they just look so darn cute. We’ve put together a lot of cute Gift in a Jar ideas if you are interested in more variations!
3. Bake for those you love! We love cookies, or try another delicious dessert recipe. Baked goods are ALWAYS a good idea! If for some reason the recipient is not eating sweets today, inform them of the day! Hello, HOLIDAY!! If that doesn’t sway them, they can always freeze them or share them with you!
