The kitchen is truly the center of our home. We blow out the candles on the birthday cakes, make our annual Halloween gingerbread house, craft, and have silly conversations at the dinner table. It also seems like every time we have friends over, everyone is drawn to the kitchen! We end up laughing, eating, and solidify our friendships. The kitchen is an important room in my home.

Disclaimer: I was given this opportunity from Mom it Forward and compensated for my participation in the Pledge to Love Your Kitchen campaign.
I would put in deeper cabinets…wood or not. One single wall oven. One island with burners. And 2 towers with roll out shelves. This would save our aging backs.
This could not have come at a better time. Just today I went to Loews to dream of what my kitchen could look like. I found out what type of design I liked and wrote it all down on paper to find out that I will never have the kitchen of my dreams. I even was picking the cheapest items possible. It just kept adding up, and my dreams were flying away with the dollar signs. I can tell you that I hate my kitchen, I feel so unhappy in there. But at the same time I am very greatful for my kitchen it’s where I feed my family, it’s where we all congregate, in the tiny little space. I have tried to put a theme in their but have come up empty. Since we don’t have money a friend of ours gave us some of there left over paint to get us started at least. It is a blank slate, it’s filled with love. I want it to be filled with joy, and peace and when I go in there I’m not filled with those things. I am hardly ever in there only to cook. Please I need to win.
Thank you!!
Adrienne
I’d add a beautiful wooden vent hood!
$15,000? Well . . . I’d get new cabinets! And I’d be highly tempted to knock out a wall and then extend the eating area so that there would be room for a larger table (one that could hold both us and the food!)
I really need a new dishwasher since I practically have to wash the dishes first before loading them in the dishwasher. Also, I would love new countertops!
