Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Castor Oil And Glycerin
Make a paste by combining 4 tbsp of castor oil with a bit of the glycerin. Massage it into your hair, and cover with a shower cap. Leave it in for at least 15 minutes, then rinse out with warm water.
Step 2
Honey & Light Olive Oil
Mix 1/2 cup of honey with about 4 tbsps of light olive oil together in a small bowl (you can use a little less oil if you’ve got oily hair). Apply the mixture to your hair, taking special care to work it through to the ends. Cover with a shower cap and leave it in for at least 1/2 hour, then shampoo and rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Step 3
Apple Cider Vinegar And Water
Stir a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into a cup of water, and pour the mixture onto your hair, wetting it all. Let it soak for a minute before rinsing out with cool water.
Step 4
Mayonnaise
Apply mayonnaise to your hair, and comb it down to the ends. Pile your hair on top of your head and let it absorb in for at least 10 minutes. Rinse the mayo out with warm water, then shampoo and rinse thoroughly.
Step 5
Milk, Banana, And Olive Oil
Mash up a banana, and mix it with a teaspoon of olive oil and a cup of milk. Massage this mixture into your hair, working it down to the ends. Cover with a shower cap, and leave it in for 20 minutes before rinsing out and shampooing.
Step 6
Banana
Drop a couple of very ripe bananas in the blender and puree them completely. Use your hands to spread the banana puree over your head, massaging it in so the hair is well coated. Wait 15 minutes before rinsing it out and then shampoo as usual.
Step 7
Egg And Water
Crack an egg into a bowl with 1/2 cup of water, and whip it together like you’re going to make scrambled eggs. Apply the mixture to your hair, making sure it’s coated to the ends. Wait 2 minutes before rinsing with cool water, then wash and style normally.
Step 8
Coconut Milk
Sponge coconut milk onto your hair, making sure it gets to the scalp and combing it down to the ends. Pile your hair on top of your head and wrap it in a towel or shower cap, and let it sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it out. Shampoo as usually.
Step 9
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Gently warm a 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil in a double boiler and apply it to freshly washed hair. Take special care to coat the strands all the way to the tips. Cover with a shower cap and let it sit for 30 minutes before rinsing with warm water and washing.
Step 10
Avocado, Coconut Milk, And Coconut Oil
Mash the flesh of one-half avocado, and mix it together with a 1/2 cup of coconut milk and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil; blend until smooth. Work the mixture through your hair, paying extra attention to damaged ends. Leave it in for at least 10 minutes before rinsing and shampooing.
