You Will Need...
- Burlap
- Lace
- White Ribbon
- White Craft Paint
- Sponge
- Liquid Stitch
- Silhouette
- White Card Stock
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Using your Silhouette, cut out the letters JOY on white card stock.
Step 2
You can purchase burlap in one of two ways, by the yard or already precut. (I purchased mine already precut at Hobby Lobby.) Center the template over the burlap.
Step 3
Use a sponge to dab the white craft paint on the inside of the template where the letter is exposed.
Step 4
Instead of threading the lace through the burlap I glued it on top of the burlap for added texture and elegance. TIP: I use a paint brush to spread on the burlap.
Step 5
Position lace over burlap. Allow glue to dry. To finish it off I added white grosgrain ribbon and lace bows to the banner. Hangs beautifully on a mantle or mirror!
