You Will Need...
- Shank style buttons
- large paper clips
- scrap felt
- hot glue gun and glue
- scissors
- lighter
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Thread the buttons onto the paper clips and move them to the end with the single loop.
Step 2
Before the glue hardens, put the felt over it and press it down.
Step 3
Put a dab of hot glue on the back of the button to stick it to the paper clip.
Step 4
Go ahead and make the rest of the bookmarks., following the same steps.
Step 5
Trim the felt around the back of the buttons, as close to the edge as you can.
Step 6
With a lighter, quickly heat the edges of the felt. This will make it draw inward and get rid of any fuzzies. Don’t heat it too long or you might scorch the fabric and the buttons.
Step 7
Your bookmarks are finished! Share them or keep them for yourself. Better yet, make some more and do both!
