Porridge is a perfect, healthy way to start the day and an absolute classic British breakfast. It’s my go-to breakfast for cold mornings (which is pretty much everyday in England).
Cacao Porridge

You Will Need...
- 1 cup/80g steel–cut oats
- 4 cups/960ml almond milk
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 1-2 tbsp. cacao
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- Optional toppings: pomegranate, dried mango, coconut flakes, chia seeds.

1. Add the porridge oats, vanilla extract, cinnamon, cacao and milk to the slow cooker, stir and leave on a low heat for 7 hours.
2. Remove and put into bowls, then decorate with your choice of toppings and honey to sweeten.
