My Mother-in-Law is in town and we decided to share how to can our apricot jam recipe with you! The wonderful thing about where I live is that we have an abundance of fruit trees that are in FULL bloom in my backyard. So, while we were picking apricots, we also decided to pick plums and make a plum jam recipe too!

You Will Need...
- Mason Jars
- Canning Tongs
- Fruit
- Sugar
- Lemon Juice
- Pectin
- Ice
- Water
- Pots for your stove
- A grandma----errrrr, I mean a mother in law----- :)
Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: gather all of the ingredients listed above the video
Step 2: sterilize your jars and keep them warm in the diswasher
Step 3: bring a pot of water to a boil and add the apricots. Keep them in there for 60 seconds.Step 2
Step 4: remove the apricots from the boiling water and place them in an ice water bath
Step 5: remove the skin and pits from the apricots (the skin will easily peel off now!)
Step 6: measure out 5 cups of apricots in a measuring cupStep 3
Step 7: combine the dry ingredients (pectin and sugar)
Step 8: in a large pot over the stove, combine the water, apricots, sugar pectin, and lemon juice
Step 9: boil the mixture for about 20 minutes
Step 10: add the hot mixture to your warm jars (don’t fill it to the tippy top though- leave a little space)
Step 11: place the lids on the jars tightly
Step 12: submerge the jars into a pot of boiling water for about 10 minutesStep 4
Step 13: carefully remove the jars and let them cool
