I know it can be intimidating, but coloring your hair at home can be so freeing! You choose your color, you can do it at your own time, and it’s not that hard! This step by step tutorial will walk you through the process of coloring your hair at home.

You Will Need...

Hair color from your local beauty store or drug store.
Gloves (often supplied in the box)
Hair Comb

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Mix the color according to package directions
Step 2

Part hair down the middle and from behind the ear all the way up
Step 3

Apply color to the roots and spread out. Start with one half of the front, and once done with the roots, bring the color all the way through. Do this to all sections.
Step 4

Let saturate for 10 to 20 minutes depending on the box directions.
Step 5

Rinse thoroughly until the water runs relatively clear. Then wash & condition with the provided conditioner.
