On the image above you can see a vintage looking kitchen furniture and shelving that may pop up many questions in your head, such as: why would anyone want this in their house, how to do it yourself, do you need a special help for the assemblance, does it matter what are the materials used, and many more. I’ll try to answer most of the questions you might have regarding this project.
Let’s start from: “ Why would anyone want this in their house?”. This design is primarily meant for connoisseurs of vintage style. But it is also widely prefered by people with lower finances due to the fact that these shelves and cabinets are made of affordable materials.
DIY Tips
To create cabinets and shelving like this you first need to provide yourself with the needed materials: pallets, wood paint, sandpaper, а sink, benchtop material – stone is best matching the vintage style, all kind of tools needed for assembling everything and others. I am not quite aware of the exact steps needed for creating this amazing design, so I’m not going to give a wrong information.
The one thing I know for certain is that creating this may seem like a children’s play, but it’s not, so if you are not a professional handyman don’t put your life in danger and leave it to the professionals.
About the stone benchtop I would like to mention that quartz would match the pallets best. If you succeed in creating all shelves and cabinets on your own, great, but don’t risk it with the stone kitchen benchtops. They are too heavy and specific for a non professional to install.
If you have any other questions regarding the project feel free to ask and I’ll try to answer every single one of them.
