You can find vintage doilies at most antique shops and some thrift shops for about $3. Simply cut your doily in half, machine stitch ribbon, that you’ve folded in half, over the doilies cut edges, and machine stitch halves on either side of your jacket’s zipper. You can change out your hood’s pull string with a colorful ribbon or recycled pull cord from another garment. Grill sticks for shish kabobs are great for pushing draw strings through your hood opening. And now you have a cool vintage look for back to school or on cool days to come!
