I had an old mousepad that was just plain ugly. It needed a new makeover! I didn’t want to buy a new one and I didn’t have any fabric I liked, so I decided to use cardstock and Sharpies to make something pretty! This would be perfect for your drab and old mousepad!
DIY Mousepad Redo
Inspired From:
You Will Need...
- Old mouse pad
- 1 sheet white cardstock
- Sharpies (I used gold and teal)
- Washi tape
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Mod Podge
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
First, I traced my mousepad onto some think white cardstock. I cut it out, and decided on a pattern.
Step 2
Then, using some washi tape, I created a diamond shaped pattern. I didn’t measure, I just eye-balled it and it came out pretty even!
Step 3
Using my gold and teal Sharpie, I colored each diamond with alternating colors. I then peeled off the washi tape and was left with a pretty pattern. I used Mod Podge and put some on both the mousepad and the bottom of the paper.
Step 4
Last, I painted a later of Mod Podge over the top as well so seal the paper. Once dry, I had myself a new and pretty mousepad!
