- Reclaimed wood or store bought hobby wood - 1 x 2s or 1x3s
- Miter saw
- Wood glue
- Measuring tape
- Finish nailer or upholstery stapler or pocket hole jig
- Sander
- Stain
- Carpenter's square
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
I’m gonna show how I made this simple rustic frame out of scrap wood. During the bathroom remodel we ripped out the old vanity. I saved or sold most of the wood, so I grabbed these from the scrap wood pile.
Step 2
Being scrap wood, I needed to pull all the nails out of them. I just used some flat-nosed pliers and “elbow grease.” After I removed all the nails, it was time to get down to the business of measuring and cutting for the frame.
