You Will Need...
- 1 5/8-inch wood bead
- gold craft paint
- small paint brush
- small piece of suede or other heavy material
- ruler
- scissors
- fine gold chain
- small jump ring
- round and/or needle nose pliers (you’ll need two)
- circle part of a toggle clasp
- 3/8-inch wide ribbon
- hot glue gun
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Start by painting the bead, using the gold paint and brush. When you are finished, set the bead aside to dry.
Step 2
Cut out a 3 x 4-inch piece of suede. Draw a line 1/2-inch from the edge of the long side. Then draw lines 1/4-inch wide, starting at the bottom of the piece and ending at the 1/2-inch line. This will be your fringe.
Using your scissors, cut along the fringe lines, stopping at the 1/2-inch mark. Make your cuts as straight as possible. Set the suede aside while you work on the chain.
