This easy and affordable lampshade project is perfect for anyone to recreate those expensive flower lampshades you see in stores!
Easy Flower Lampshade
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
First remove all of the stems from your flowers and trim the extra plastic from the back. You want your flower to lie as flat as possible in the glue. We chose daisies for the color and because they are naturally nice and flat. Just about any flower would work!
Step 2
Now you are ready to start gluing! Work in small sections around the lampshade. You can’t do the whole thing at once or glue gets everywhere! Work around the the top and bottom first and then fill in the middle. Put a generous amount of glue under a flower and then clothes pin it until it dries. This takes patience and is the hardest part of the project! After it is dry, move on to another section. You might want to put something under the lampshade in case the glue runs.
Step 3
When it is finally all dry, just attach it to your lamp base and you are all set to go!
I didn’t use hot glue (which would be much faster!) because the heat form the bulb would melit it and all of your flowers would fall off!
