You Will Need...

  • Styrofoam
  • Wrapping paper
  • Tissue paper
  • Ribbon
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Red paint
  • Cake box or cardboard
  • Hot glue

Step by Step Instructions

  • Step 1

Use a cake box or cardboard the width of the Styrofoam you are using. I quickly cut out a rectangle from a Diet Coke box. HA!

  • Step 2

Wrap the cardboard in wrapping paper, your choice of color.

  • Step 3

Tape or glue the the wrapped cardboard onto the Styrofoam.

  • Step 4

Tape a piece of wrapping paper to the top of the Styrofoam.

  • Step 5

    Next add wrapping paper around the front of the Styrofoam… leaving about an 1 inch of wrapping paper above the Styrofoam. This will give it a clean edge as well as cover any extra holes you make later. {wink}

  • Step 6

Tape skewers or white craft sticks to the candy and gift cards. Then stick them into the Styrofoam.

  • Step 7

To add some fun, wrap a pipe cleaner around a pencil to make it swirl, then stick it into the Styrofoam making sure it “pops” out.

  • Step 8

This is what mine looked like when it was finished. You can add as much or as little candy as you’d like. The great thing about this project is that it’s completely flexible to your budget, colors, and anount of candy.
