Step by Step Instructions

  • Step 1

    Make or purchase cupcakes. I bought red velvet cupcakes from Walmart. {snicker}

  • Step 2

    Get out your muffin cups. I purchased these muffin cups from this Etsy Shop. Although you can buy them in several places.

  • Step 3

    Blow up white balloons. You can also use helium balloons. Hang from fishing line, wire, or ribbon.

  • Step 4

    Using a hole punch, make 4 holes into the top of each muffin cup, equal distance.

  • Step 5

    Thread the corresponding ribbon taped onto the balloon into the hole of the muffin cup and knot.

  • Step 6

    Tip: If your ribbon around the balloon isn’t smooth to the balloon then bring the ribbon down until it is. Take the ribbon together at the back of the balloon.

  • Step 7

    The first set of travel party decorations I used are Paper Airplane Birthday Party Printable Kit by LePartieSugar

  • Step 8

    I also incorporated these printable travel party decorations First Class Travel Printable Party Kit by Black Leaf Design.

  • Step 9

    I must give a huge thanks to Emily Decker who took most of these amazing photos and made the party look SO good. {wink}
