For sure you have recognized them, those traditional French Petits Beurre Biscuits.

I have tested the “Atelier Petits Beurre” kit from Larousse Editions to bake them, and ….so delicious !

It contains a little recipe book and a cutter pastry

What a perfect idea of present , gourmand playful !

You Will Need...

  • The "Atelier Petits Beurre" kit from Larousse Editions
  • 1 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup salty butter
  • 1/4 tea spoon water
  • 1/4 tea spoon salt
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 tea spoon baking soda

Step by Step Instructions

  • Step 1

    Pour white sugar, butter, water and salt into a saucepan
    Boil it
    Let it rest for 20 minutes
    Mix flour and baking soda into a dish
    Add the saucepan content into it and mix the whole cake dough
    Wrap the dough into some clingfilm and put it to the fridge for 3 hours

  • Step 2

    After 3 hours, preheat the hoven to 250 F
    Flour the table and spread the dough thinly

  • Step 3

    Use the cutter pastry to prepare the little biscuits
    Separate the biscuits into the dough

  • Step 4

    Transfer the little biscuits to a buttered baking sheet and set in a the hoven

  • Step 5

    Cook the little biscuits for about 12 minutes until they get a little brown on the corners, and it’s all set !
