I vividly remember eating this candy (called haystacks without the chocolate eggs) at my Great Grandmas annual Christmas parties. I was so excited to see how easy it is to make these Birds Nest Candies when I started seeing this recipe pop up in the blogosphere. There seems to be a few different variations. The only thing we did differently was use a standard muffin tin and liners to help mold them.
