Super Secret Storage Pouf – Crochet Floor Pouf Pattern
Inspired From:
You Will Need...
- 3-4 pounds of worsted weight yarn
- Size Q-19 15mm crochet hook
- Stitch Marker
- Blankets, poly-fill, or anything you can think of to stuff it!
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Ch: Chain
Hdc: Half Double Crochet
Hdc Inc: Half Double Crochet Increase (2 hdc in single stitch)
Note: This pattern calls for 4 strands of yarn held together. The size and shape of the finished pouf will vary depending on the number of increases and the rounds you choose to do, as well as what you choose to stuff it with. It may not have the resiliency of a pouf stuffed with poly-fill or similar product. If you would like a narrower pouf, stop increasing when your work is several inches smaller than your desired size.Step 2
1. Make a magic loop, ch 2, hdc 9. You will be working in a continuous round, meaning instead of joining at the end of each round you will simply continue crocheting around. Use a stitch marker to keep track of your rounds.
1. 2 hdc in the back loop only in each (20)
3. *hdc in back loop, hdc inc in back loop* repeat from * to * until end of round (30)
4. *hdc 2 in back loop, hdc inc in back loop* repeat from * to * until end of round (40)
5. *hdc 3 in back loop, hdc inc in back loop* repeat from * to * until end of round (50)
6. *hdc 4 in back loop, hdc inc in back loop* repeat from * to * until end of round (60)
7. *hdc 5 in back loop, hdc inc in back loop* repeat from * to * until end of round (70)Step 3
8. *hdc 6 in back loop, hdc inc in back loop* repeat from * to * until end of round (80)
9. *hdc 7 in back loop, hdc inc in back loop* repeat from * to * until end of round (90)
10. *hdc 8 in back loop, hdc inc in back loop* repeat from * to * until end of round (100)
11. Hdc in the back loop around
12. Repeat row 11 until desired height
13. *hdc in back loop, skip 1* repeat from * to * until end of round, bind off and weave in ends
Holding 4 strands of yarn together, make a chain approximately twice the circumference of your pouf and tie a knot at each end. Weave this chain through round 13 of your pouf, making a drawstring. Stuff with fluff and enjoy!
