Things You Should Never Do On A First Date – Especially With Someone You Like!

1. Never Be Late

Being late for a first date is the worst way to start a new relationship. It is the best way to make a bad first impression and the best way to irritate your date before the date even begins, especially if you have made dinner reservations. There is no such thing as being “fashionably late”.

In any case, call if you are going to be late or watch your chances for a second date go out the window.

2. Never Have A Friend Come Along

Assuming that you are both adults, you do not need for a chaperone. Having someone to come along will only add to the stress and cause your date to not only feel like he has to impress you but also your friend.

3. Do Not Constantly Check Your Cell Phone

Nothing is more irritating and rude than constantly checking the time or checking cell messages or email on your date. This would signify that whatever is going on in your cell phone is more important than your date.

Unless you have a child at home that is sick, (in which case you should put the date off and tend to your child), you should not be worried about any incoming calls or messages on your cell phone. Also, unless you are Cinderella or Cinderfella you should not be worried about the time.

4. Never Take Photos Of Your Food Or Date

Whether you are a photographer or just someone who appreciates a beautiful plate of food, it is never good practice to take pictures of the food or your date on a first date.

5. Never Tag Your Date On Facebook

Just because you are Facebook friends does not mean the entire world has to know about your date.

If your date notices that you have told all your friends about your impending date it could add to the stress level already associated with first dates.
