I am a recently self-taught crocheter. I have several projects going right now and plan on crocheting Christmas presents for all of my nieces starting in about a week – right after I finish the mittens for my children. I am totally addicted to two things in my life: Red Heart Yarn and O.P.I. Nail Polish (I am a nail technician for a real job.)!
I’m a brand new crocheter.
I used to crochet all the time when I was a kid. I try every now and then but have forgotten so much. Would love to start again. I have my sewing as Mamaw’s Crafty Creations but would like to get good enough to add other things to it.
I learned to crochet at 8 and knit at 9 yrs old – my grandmother taught me. My first project was – of course – a granny square blanket! Things sure have changed since then but the granny square lives on!
Oh my gosh this giveaway is amazing! I learned to crochet from my Mother when I was 8yrs old. That was 40yrs ago and now I teach my Mother new patterns!! I’ve suffered from severe Fibromyalgia for 17yrs. Sadly I injured my spine 5yrs ago and with nerve damage from neck to toes I had to retire from my 22yr teaching career. Crocheting is my only way to reach out and make a difference in others lives. If I couldn’t crochet and give my items to others I’d be completely lost in my pain and disability. Crocheting gives me hope.
