How I Created a Healthy & Relaxing Environment

I can hardly believe that it’s been almost a year since we packed our bags, boxes and suitcases {{snicker}} and moved from sunny Texas to coldy-cold Ohio {{smiling}}.  Since then, I’ve been doing all kinds of DIY projects to make our house a home.

Since it’s colder here in Ohio than in Texas, we are inside more often, so it’s really important to me that we feel comfortable, relaxed and healthy indoors!  I’ve been working towards that goal, and this month I’m excited to be participating in the Room to Breathe program sponsored by Sharp because it’s been the impetus for making my air cleaner and designing a room that I can truly relax in.

Create Your Own Relaxation Retreat

As you walk down into my basement, you’ll see a little relaxation retreat I created for those extra stressful days as a busy mom.  If you’re looking for some suggestions on how you can design your own, here ya go!

With a cozy blanket, a comfy recliner, and my favorite DIY empty frame wall this space is now ready for some serious de-stressing. It’s a place which promotes health and wellness for all of my senses thanks to the relaxation of the water fountain, lavender candle, and of course my air purifier which cleans the air in the entire room.
