Rest My Creative Soul

As a mom with three busy boys, I usually find myself working with their energy.  We have a fast paced household with a lot going on – all the time.  I used to run myself ragged and then have these days where I would just crash.  I finally found an alternative that I’ve been doing ever since.  It’s one of my little secrets on how I “do all that I do”.  I take time off every day as a mom to rest my creative soul.

“Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take
between two deep breaths.” – Etty Hillesum

I realize that it may sound counterproductive but I believe a girls gotta have a few moments of “me” time to recharge the batteries and reward herself for a job well done.  Especially during the summer!

I like to take my few moments mid-afternoon when the kids finally have their rhythm and all is well in the house.  It’s one of my favorite times of the day and I sneak into my room and shut the door and eat something sweet!  {{sigh of relief}}

I’m excited to be one of the first people to let you know that Pepperidge Farm has just released their new Strawberry Milano cookie.   Now you can stop stealing your kiddos Oreo’s while standing in the pantry; and have your very own sophisticated cookie that you deserve!

What time of day do you spend your “Milano Moment”?

Pepperidge Farm is celebrating the release with a fun sweepstakes perfect for us! It’s easy and all you have to do is “like” Milanos  on their Facebook Page and then tell them your “Milano Moment” and you could win a BUSHEL of the new Strawberry Milano cookies!

Tip Junkie’s are also hooked up with an exclusive $0.55 off coupon to try out the Strawberry Milanos yourself!  {{squeal in delight}}

P.S.  I’m a Milano Maven and yes they are paying me and yes I can eat my weight in cookies.  They’re so good my bushel is already half gone!

    I love the photos!! I don’t feel like I quite get a moment every day – more like once a week. I need to work on that, and eating some Milanos will help!

    Yum. These do sound delish. Honestly, I feel like my “me” time is the time I spend blogging and finding fun new blogs to read.

    Unfortunately, when I snack while doing that, I find that I eat … um … way too much without thinking!

    Maybe I’ll start taking some “me” time by consciously snacking, quietly, and just enjoying one cookie at a time. 🙂

    When is my creative time? Hmm…
    Probably at night when my mind comes ALIVE with possibilities. And also when Dr. Pepper is in my system.

    Strawberry milanos…YUM!
    I want some!
