We are continuing our How to Blog series with a fun little quiz, WordPress versus Blogger. What type of blogging platform you use really depends on what kind of blog you have, where you want it to go, and overcoming the fear of having a WordPress Blog. What kind of blog do you have? Have you considered a WordPress Blog? What has stopped you from getting a WordPress Blog?

We are actually talking about wordpress.org not wordpress.com. I do not recommend wordpress.com because the cost of the extras will cost about the same as hosting.
Google will not keep an inactive site going forever. Plus you have no control over this. At any point they can delete your account. Or you can be like many people I have heard of that get marked as spam blogs and deleted. It will all be gone.
With either platforms if you want to keep your content forever you need to make sure and backup!. What’s nice about WordPress is you can have your blog automatically backed up and even mailed to your email account. Also if you own the space it’s never going to go away. You own it.
YAY! I can’t wait, I just moved to WordPress an although I am loving it I know there is so much more to lean and know. I look forward to learning more…(YaY)
Yes Wordoress.org is so much more flexible than WordPress.com and really can cost about the same with how .com charges for extras.
I will definitely be sharing some tricks. If you have questions feel free and ask them here in the comments too! I will also be sharing some great tools and how to find great information in my last post of the series.
