No More Holes in the Wall ~ Use Velcro Poster Hangers!

For me, it’s usually a dreaded day when one of my boys wants to hang a poster on their bedroom wall.   Obviously it interferes with the decor a bit, {frown} but more than that, I don’t like the push pins, holes in the walls, and the effort it takes to put up something temporary.  ‘Cuz you know they’ll want taken down in a month or so.  Velcro poster hangers are a great solution for hanging posters without holes!

We moved this past Thanksgiving to Ohio, and when my little guy came home from school with a HUGE welcome banner from his class I knew that this was something that I had to put up.  The smile on his face was too sweet and compelling to say no when he asked to hang it up in his room.  I have to admit that I have a track record of saying no to requests like this.  However, this time instead of panic, {my new walls!} I knew exactly what to do, and of course I said yes!

Velcro Poster Hangers Tutorial

So hereÂ’s my quick tutorial on how my boys and I hung Dylan’s wonderful Welcome banner from his new class using VELCRO® poster hangers.

Step 1: Apply the round Velcro dot onto the corner of the poster.

Step 2: Press the square Wall Mount Velcro piece onto the round Velcro dot, sticky side out {so it can attach to the wall}.

Step 3: Firmly press the poster onto the wall.  How easy is that?

Now my little man feels all warm and fuzzy and has a {huge} visual reminder of how excited his classmates are to have him here in Ohio.   And since it’s temporary, I don’t have to worry about repairing a hole in the wall and can redecorate as soon as we decide on theme for his new room.  {evil laugh}

Velcro Poster Hanging Tips:

• To remove the poster from the wall, slide it up and out away from the wall.  This way your Velcro poster wall hanger piece stays put.  If you want to trade out a poster, simple apply a new ‘coin’ to the new poster and put it in place of the old poster!
• To remove the Velcro Poster Hanger from the wall with out leaving a residue,  slide the piece straight up. DonÂ’t pull OUT.

So simple!
