I learned a little something from the ProBlogger today I thought was kind of cool. It’s a manual way of finding out who is linking to your blog.
Go to Yahoo or Google and type in ‘link:http://www.yourblog.com‘ and it will give you a listing of who has linked your blog to theirs. Cool, huh!
This is not the most efficient way, but it gets the job done and you don’t have to register for anything.
In my opinion, the easiest way to find out who’s linking to your blog is to register with Technorati. It’s quick and it lets you know how close you are to the #1 blog by the rank (lower number the better).
It also tracks how many “blog reactions” you have, which is who is linking to you and what they’re saying. This is a cool feature because it’s a great way to meet your “lurkers” and thank them for the link back and/or shout out.
FYI: Technorati Authority is the number of blogs linking to a website in the last six months. The higher the number the better.
Thanks to all of you fabulous Ladies, Tip Junkie is ranked in the top 5,000 blogs out of 50 mill. You rock!!
I have not gotten any e-mail’s for tip junkie in about a week? What’s happening?
That is so cool… I just went to Technorati and found two sites where I was on their blogroll that I didn’t know about! I will have to go there often to keep track. Thanks for the info!
