Congratulations to our two lucky winners! #358, Bobbiann; and #778, Tonya Dew!
I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.
I thought long and hard about my word of the year and it came as a result of the year I had in 2011. I made you a little video message as to why I picked this word!
for·ti·tude ~ Mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously.

I actually wrote a post about this myself last week. My word is intentional.

PS. Laurie, you are just too cute! Love your hair in this video.
My word of the year is “present”. So many times I have caught myself saying “what-if” or maybe “I should have ___, instead of ___”. I am challenging myself to live in the “present” and move forward from any regrets of my past! The “present” is where I am supposed to be, all in God’s plan (Jeremiah 29:11).
My word is glory. I choose this year to give Glory to God…which means make him bigger and me smaller.
AVAILABLE! My want to be more available – to my huband, my 2 boys, my friends and my family
