Congratulations to our two lucky winners! #358, Bobbiann; and #778, Tonya Dew!
I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.
I thought long and hard about my word of the year and it came as a result of the year I had in 2011. I made you a little video message as to why I picked this word!
for·ti·tude ~ Mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously.

My word of the year –and EVERY year prior to this, has always been PERSEVERANCE! Without perseverance, you cannot have the fortitude to carry on. Even if you have the presence of love, faith, blessings, etc.,one still needs to feel that “fire in the belly” to carry on! Wishing everyone perseverance in 2012!<3
I did the bonus! I already follow you on FB so I am now also following Lisa Leonard Designs! Love both!
I think my word of the year should be hope. 2011 was such a hard year for our family, but I have to have faith that 2012 will be better.
My word for 2012 is Intentional. 🙂
I too moved to Ohio! My husband and I moved from Arizona to Ohio to run a young adult discipleship program. My word of the year is “PERSEVERANCE”
My husband and I have been struggling with infertility for 3 years and we are believing for a miracle this year! Also I struggle on daily basis because of my IBS. These 2 things have a physical and emotion tole on myself and my husband. I have faith to persevere these things and they will not overcome me. I KNOW I will have healing and rejoicing in my life.
