Congratulations to our two lucky winners! #358, Bobbiann; and #778, Tonya Dew!
I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.

I thought long and hard about my word of the year and it came as a result of the year I had in 2011. I made you a little video message as to why I picked this word!
for·ti·tude ~ Mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously.

My first instinct was “create” which seemed too knee-jerk to me but, upon further reflection, it probably best suits the year I’m looking at.
Writing a dissertation, carving my place in the world, and just doing things with my hands to make myself and those around me happy.

My word is ‘Renewable’. This represents the fact that I want to appreciate each new day and be renewed and revitalised etc. I am happily married mum of 3. I was recently diagnosed with ME and so life is a challenge at the moment. I’m trying to show my children that this is just a season where we have to do things differently but we can still be renewed and change in a positive way! ‘Renewable’ is my daily reminder of that – I have the same body but I am changing as a person! xx

Hi and thanks for the contest and chance to win one of the beautiful necklaces.
My word for 2012 is :
“Indomitable”
cannot be subdued or overcome, as in a persons, will, or courage; unconquerable: an indomitable warrior. Steadfast, courageous and bold. Lionhearted.
