Congratulations to our two lucky winners! #358, Bobbiann; and #778, Tonya Dew!
I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.

I thought long and hard about my word of the year and it came as a result of the year I had in 2011. I made you a little video message as to why I picked this word!
for·ti·tude ~ Mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously.

Forgiveness!
My word for the year is balance. I felt this word immediately when turning my thoughts to it though did consider harmony also…I think harmony will be the word that I work towards next year!!
Smile! Your designs make me “smile” 🙂
Rejoice!
From Habakkuk 3:17-18 which states “Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.” No matter what has happened, or will happen I will rejoice because my joy is not based on my circumstances it is placed in the LORD!
BTW – I ‘liked’ and tweeted!
